Pledges
1. Fight to ensure that the Council honours the commitments it has made in its response to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.
2. Reduce health inequalities, by working with our local GPs as well as national public health bodies, to ensure care is of a high standard and accessible.
3. Work with residents, RBKC, Housing Associations and our MP to ensure all tenants live in safe, secure & healthy homes.
4. Demand more regular police patrols, to reduce anti-social behaviour and street crime. We all deserves to feel safe.
Claire Simmons
A resident here for over 30 years, former researcher and lecturer, long-standing community campaigner, and witness to the Grenfell Tower Fire. As your councillor, I’ve been pursuing justice, accountability and change for residents, our lives and our wellbeing.
Portia Thaxter
I grew up here. I’m a councillor, Eco Church project Chair, and food bank trustee. I founded the African Caribbean Cultural Centre & work a lot with Bay20. I’ve been standing up on housing disrepair, community safety, and support for all those affected by Grenfell.
Kasim Ali
Current councillor and leader of the Labour Group, I have lived here for over two decades. I work in education, chair the Al-Manaar mosque, and make delicious Kensington Hot Sauce. I want my neighbours to be treated with respect and dignity.
